Scuba Diving/ Snorkelling

Snorkelling is popular around Playa Caleta and Playa Caletilla and off Roqueta Island (a small island located in Acapulco Bay, 30 minutes from shore. This is a federal protected area, with tropical fauna and flora. There is also a zoo, featuring many species of animals.)
The best beaches on the island for scuba diving/ snorkelling are El Ripio, Las Palmas, and Bahia de Yerbabuena.
Cost: Scuba Diving: cost starts at US$70 to about $90/Person
Snorkeling: cost is about US$35/Person
Swiss Divers - Divers courses with PADI or NAVI certification, the dives are off boats or off the beach. There is pool training available and the trips are to sunken ships.
